Today (28th january) is the birth anniversary of Suman Kalyanpur. On this occasion, here is the title song of “Dil Ek Mandir” (1963). A semi classical creation from N Dutta. A versatile musician, N Dutta’s films display the range of his creativity. In a career that lasted a better part of three decades from 50s thru 70s, most of his film names sound like B/C grade films, with very few A grade films or known hits to his credit. A few names do stand out as films easily remembered, viz., Chandrakanta, Hum Panchhi Ek Daal Ke, Dharamputra, Saadhna, Dhool Ka Phool, Black Cat, Bhai Bahen, Didi, Naya Raasta etc.
