‘Duniyaa Naachegee’ (1967) was produced by Ashwin-Bipin and was directed by K Parvez. The star cast included Kishore Kumar, Kumkum, Aruna Irani, Iftekhar, Bhagwan, S N Banerjee, Mukri, Shammi, Janakidas, Rashid Khan, Rani, Tun Tun, Shaikh, Shetty etc. Writer-Director, K Parvez, also known by the pseudo name, Kalptaru (29/11/1937 – 17/05/2015) was known for directing ‘Ghar’ series of films which included ‘Ghar Dwaar’ (1985), ‘Ghar Kaa Sukh’ (1987), ‘Ghar Ghar Ki Kahaani’ (1988), ‘Bade Ghar Ki Beti’ (1989), ‘Paraayaa Ghar’ (1989), ‘Apna Ghar’ (1989), ‘Ghar Ho To Aisaa’ (1990), ‘Swarg Se Pyaaraa Ghar Hamaaraa’ (1992), ‘Ghar Ki Laaj’ (1993), ‘Ghar Ki Izzat’ (1994) and ‘Chhotaa Saa Ghar’ (1996). He had directed 31 films from 1958 to 1998.

Today’s song is from the movie ‘Alag Alag-1985’. It was the most ambitious & hyped project of actor-producer Rajesh Khanna which failed at the box office. Though the music of the movie by R.D. Burman made waves and a couple of the songs from this movie became popular too, the good musical score by R.D. Burman too could not help the film much. The music of this movie lost out because of the music of other movies like ‘Ram Teree Gangaa Mailee’ and ‘Pyaar Jhuktaa Naheen’ etc which were released in the same year i.e. 1985.

The star cast included Rajendra Kumar and Kamini Kadam in lead roles supported by Pran, Anwar Hussain, Bipin Gupta, Leela Chitnis, M Kumar, Leela Mishra, Kuldeep Kaur, Baby Naaz, Kammo, Keshav Rana, Sunder etc. The film belonged to the genre of family drama. This was the third successive film of Rajendra Kumar pairing with Kamini Kadam who had made her debut in ‘Talaaq’ (1958) in a lead role with Rajendra Kumar.
