I came across a veritable gem today, that I had once heard many many years ago; I had no info about this song, just remembered the tune and some words, that would sometimes just come up in my mind by themselves and I would hum them, always longing to hear this song again. This song is not your regular boy meeting the girl and running around the trees song. That stage is over, at least as far as Rajendranath and Madhavi are concerned. Yes, they have got married and this song takes place on the occasion of their wedding reception.

I have heard this song many a times and I loved it. Madan Mohan created such a nice qawwali which was written by Kaifi Azmi, and how it is picturised ? Not as a qawwali, but as a party song.
