“Bhumika” (1977) was based on the tale of Hansa Wadkar, an actress of 1940s. It was directed by Shyam Benegal. The movie had Smita Patil, Amol Palekar, Anant Nag, Naseeruddin Shah, Amrish Puri etc in it. This movie in fact won Filfare award for the best movie of the year.

“Kinaara” (1977) was produced by Pranlal Mehta and directed by Gulzar. Jeetendra and Hema Malini were in lead roles in this movie. Dharmendra (Guest appearance), Dr Shreeram Laagoo, Om Shivpuri, Dina Pathak etc were also there in this movie.

He was seen in movies like Mere Apne (1971), Anubhav (1971), Rajnigandha (1974),Parinay (1974), Kalicharan (1976), Ghar (1978), Naiyya (1979), Griha Pravesh (1979), The Burning Train (1980) etc. In addition, he also wrote the story and screenplay of “Ghar” (1978). “Ghar” (1978) won the Filmfare award for best story.

Very little is known about music director Ram Laxman. Initially there were two of them, viz Ram Kadam and Vijay Patil who composed music as Ram Laxman. Ram Kadam died in 1976. But Vijay Patil continued to compose music as Ram Laxman. In fact, most well known movies with music by Ram Laxman came after 1976 when it was Vijay Patil alone composing music as Ram Laxman. Movies like “Maine Pyaar Kiya” (1989) and “Hum Aapke Hain Kaun”(1994) are the compositions of Ram Laxman.
