I have posted one immortal bhajan from “Jogan” (Ghoonghat ke pat khol re )in this blog in the past. That song was a Meera Bhajan sung by Geeta Dutt (then Geeta Roy). This movie in fact has several fantastic songs sung by Geeta Dutt.

Here is a party song from a movie called “Bade Sarkaar” (1957). This movie, from its cast does not appear an A grade movie, seeing that Agha and Sajjan are the lead actors in this movie.

If one just goes through the lyrics of the song, this song may not appear to be much of a song. But just listen to this song. This song is sung so nicely that the song grows up on the listener and remains with him /her for several hours. That is what Lalitha felt about this song and mentioned while giving farmaish for this song. And when I listened to this song, I realised this fact myself.

Here is a superb sentimental song from “Do Bhai” (1947). This is one of the earliest songs sung by Geeta Dutt that went on to become her calling card (the other such song being Mera sundar sapna beet gaya from the same movie).
