I have discussed as many as eight songs from “Naagin” (1954) and all of them are iconic songs. I thought that all the iconic songs from this movie have already been discussed. So it comes as a huge surprise to me to realise that the song “Mann doley mera tann doley” from “Naagin” (1954) has not yet been discussed.

I have a 78 RPM record (N.50600) of the song ‘saathi na bane koi’ from film DHUAAN (1953) sung by Krishna Goel which was set to music by Dhaniram. Since I was not able to listen to this record (which in any case is in poor condition) for want of a record player, I have been searching for the audio clip of the same on the internet sites.

Without detracting one bit from her merit, capability and musico-longevity, I have to admit that I am not a fan of Asha Bhosle in the same manner as I am of Lataji.
