“Aa gale lag jaa” (1973) was a run of the mill movie, but it caught public imagination because of this particular song. This song had two versions. The grown up version was sung by Kishore Kumar and it was picturised on Shashi Kapoor and Sharmila Tagore as a “nature song” -as it was picturised on hills. The other version of the song was a party song and it had a kid singing in addition to Kishore Kumar. Kishore Kumar once again sings for Shashi Kapoor whereas the kid Sushma Shreshtha sang for Master Tito.

I keep stumbling upon forgotten gems almost on a daily basis, and look what I have unearthed here ! This song is from a movie called “Biraadari” (1966). I am sure most people, including me , are aware of “Baraadari” rather than “Biraadari”.

“Pyaar Kiye Jaa” (1966) was a runaway hit. Though Shashi Kapoor was the hero of this movie, it had many other entertainers in it, viz Kishore Kumar, Mehmood, Mumtaz ( then an upcoming actress) etc.

Here is a song from “Chori Mera Kaam” (1975). I have listened to this song many a times and even enjoyed it as a light hearted song, but all this while I was not aware about the movie this song was from.
