LADAAI KE BAAD (1943) was produced under the banner of Navyug Chitra and was it was directed by Ram Daryani. The star cast included Snehlata Pradhan and Shahu Modak in lead roles with David, Kusum Deshpande, B Sawsare, Sharda, Raja Pranjape, G Savkar, Pratima Devi, Sudha Apte etc in secondary roles. Heer Ranjha of 1948 was produced by Punjab Film Corporation, Bombay and directed by Vali Saheb, who also wrote lyrics for all the eleven songs for the film. One of the songs was in Punjabi language, no wonder as the production house was Punjab Film Corporation and the film was based on very famous tragic folk-lore of lovers Heer and Ranjha from Punjab. The star cast according to HFGK included Mumtaz Shanti, Ghulam Mohammad, Gulab, Roop Kamal, Majnu, Raamlal, Gulnar, Malik Amin, Aziz, Minaai, Neela Devi, Aziz Kashmiri, Nauratavi etc.
