“Jaalsaaz” (1959) is a forgotten movie by now. But its songs were quite nice to listen to. If these songs are not known to many then it is the loss of the listeners.
I have posted quite a few songs ( 4 to be exact) from this movie. These songs showcased Kishore Kumar’s lighter side. Yes, these songs were comedy songs.
Here is a serious song from the movie. This song is a romantic duet sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhonsle. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist and N Datta is the music director.
The song is picturised on Kishore Kumar and Mala Sinha. The picturisation shows Kishore Kumar not feeling too romantic because he is worried about the future. Mala Sinha on the other hand decides to forget the future uncertainty and enjoy the present. This contrast in the approaches of the two makes this a lovely song to watch. In fact, Mala Sinha elevates this romantic song to a sensuous song.
It is a lovely song sung beautifully and picturised wonderfully well. It is vey much a gem of a song.
