Lo chale ham behke qadam aaj khushi se

I never tire of saying that irrespective of the grading of the movie (A, B, C etc grade), the music of all these movies was always A grade.
Here is a song from a C grade movie called “Zimbo” (1958). Never heard of this movie ? Neither did I. And I had not heard this song either. Now that I have got an opportunity to listen to this song, I can only go “wow”.
The song is sung wonderfully well by Asha Bhonsle. I have no idea about the actress on whom this song is picturised. Going by the cast, she could be either Chitra or Krishnakumari. Any idea who she is ?
Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist and Chitragupta is the music director.
PS-By the process of elimination, it appears that the lady in the picturisation could be Chitra.

actress featuring in the song is CHITRA(of NOOR MAHAL fame)

Atul I am sure it is not Krishnakumari. Could be Chitra. Krishnakumari never got a big break apart from small tiny roles. She was in Baiju Bawra, Meena Kumari’s best friend and featured in small dialogue just before the song ” Door koi gaya dhoon yeh sunae tere bin chalia ho bajena murali ho”.
