There are some music directors who have composed throusands of songs and discussing most of their songs will take ages. But there are some music directors who have composed much less number of songs and it should be possible for me to post most of their compositions if I put my mind to it.
For instance, Sajjad Hussain got to compose only about one hundred songs in his career spanning two decades. Considering that I have discussed over one hundred songs each of many major music directors already in this blog, discussing almost all the songs of Sajjad Hussain in this blog should not take too much time. So now I have resolved that I will regularly post songs compositions of Sajjad Hussain till I run out of them.
So, here is a Sajjad Hussain composition from a forgotten movie called “Khel” (1950). This song is sung by Meena Kapoor and lyricist is Shams Azimabadi. Sajjad Hussain was a fastidious music director, and he demanded a lot out of his singers. One can notice that Meena Kapoor has striven to give her best in this song, which is a difficult song to sing.
