At the age of 5-6 years, you are too young to realise what is going on, and at the age of 15-16, you have learnt to think logically, and you are then required to become mature and responsible. Neither state of affairs is desirable if you want to enjoy Hindi movies.

Sajjad Hussain was a music director who could create amazing music but his ability to make enemies meant that he got very few opportunities to showcase his abilities as a music director. He composed only about one hundred songs in 14 movies. He was described by Anil Biswas as the only original music director in Hindi movies. Coming from Anil Biswas, it is very high praise indeed !

I have not kept a count of it, but I think I have posted songs from most Shammi Kapoor movies in this blog. Considering that Shammi Kapoor came into his own in 1957 with “Tumsa Nahin Dekhaa” (1957) and continued till late 1960s with the kind of movies with he is identified, he may have worked in about 20 odd typically Shammi Kapoor movies. I have posted songs from almost all these movies, in addition to posting songs from other Shammi Kapoor movies where he played other kinds of roles.
