I have discussed songs from a movie called “Zindagi” (1964) in the past. It turns out that there is another movie of the same name that was released in 1956.
This movie, viz “Zindagi” (1956) had Geeta Bali, Gulab, Jagdish Sethi, Jaswant, Rashid, Vijayalaxmi, Baby Naaz etc in it.
Here is a lovely song from this movie. It is sung by Lata. Kaifi Azmi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Md Shafi (not to be confused with our beloved singer Md Rafi).
Only the audio of this song is available, but one can safely guess that the song is picturised on Geeta Bali.

One of my all time favorite line –
jo insaaf teraa YAHI hai to maalik
tere saamne sar jhukaayenge kaise
My hair follicles stand up every time I hear it. Hope you fix the misspelled word in the lyrics of the post.

What a wonderful gem of a find. I am hearing it for the first time, and simply love the poetry and composition. The words are just too good.
