Ham to albele mazdoor

on:“Bandhan”(1940) was a Bombay Talkies production. It had Ashok Kumar and Leela Chitnis in lead roles in this movie.
As many as four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is another song from this movie. This song is picturised on a few labourers who are singing this song while doing their work. The song is sung by Kavi Pradeep and chorus. One can also hear a full throated female voice which is uncredited. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify this female voice which I feel I have heard before in a few songs discussed in this blog itself.
The song is written by Kavi Pradeep. Music is composed by Saraswati Devi.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

It seems to be one of the very first songs depicting the dignity and might of labor. Many movie lovers in this country have a wrong notion about kavi Pradeep as being a lyricist having a rightist bent of mind. It may not necessarily be so. Even in his lyrics in kismet-1943 he bares his mind in favor of social change and against the system which is based on man’s exploitation by man. One must be fair to him.
