Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Mujhe yaad aati hai

Posted on: January 23, 2013

“Bose- The forgotten Hero” (2004), also known as “Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose- The forgotten hero” (2004) was produced by Raj Pius and Barbara von Wrangell and directed by Shyam Benegal. The movie has Sachin Khedekar in the title role of Netaji. Other actors in this movie were Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rajit Kapur, Arif Zakaria, Divya Dutta etc.

Today (23 january 2013) is the 116th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, one of the highly admired freedom fighters of India. Though Netaji did not live to see India gain her freedom (who reportedly died in 1945 in a plane crash), his contribution is fighting against the British imperialism was second to none.

Very few movies have been made on his life, and this movie is one of them. Here is a song from this movie. This song is sung by Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Sriram and chorus. Javed Akhtar is the lyricist. Music is composed by A R Rehman.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Avinash Scrapwala.

Lyrics(Provided by Avinash Scrapwala)

Mujhe yaad aati hai
mujhe yaad aati hai
apne desh ki mitti ki khushboo
mujhe yaad aati hai
apne desh ki mitti ki khushboo
mujhe yaad aati hai
kabhi behlaati hai
kabhi tadpaati hai
kabhi behlaati hai
kabhi tadpaati hai
mujhe yaad aati hai
O o o
apne desh ki mitti ee
apne desh ki mitti ki khushboo
mujhe yaad aati hai

aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa

beete pal chhoone lagey hain
dil ko aise
dost rakhe haath
kandhe pe jaise
kaisi ye kirne
aisi chhan rahi hai
kaisi tasveerein si
ban rahi hain
kitne mausam yaad mein
hain aatey jaatey
baarish aayee khul gaye hain
kaale chhaate
din hain alsaaye huye
jo aayee garmee
sardiyon ki dhoop mein hai
kaisee narmi
pal pal ik samay ki nadiyaa hai
jo behti jaati hai
apne desh ki mitti ki khushboo
mujhe yaad aati hai

aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa

pighle tanhaayion ke hain
jo andhere
jagmagaane se lage hain
kitney chehre
aa aa aa
ek lori hai
ek laal bindiyaa
laut aayee hain mere
bachpan ki nindiyaa
wo koyee ektaare pe kabse
gaa rahaa hai
koyee aanchal jaane kyun
lehraa rahaa hain
har ghadi nayee baat ik
yaad aa rahi hai
dil mein pagdandi si jaise
ban gayee hai
ye pagdandi mere dil se
mere desh jaati hai
hmm hmm
ho
apne desh ki mitti ki khushboo
mujhe yaad aati hai
apne desh ki mitti ki khushboo
mujhe yaad aati hai
aa aa aa
mujhe yaad aati hai

ओssss

आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss

आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss
आsssss

आsssss

आsssss

Atulji, Avinashji,
Thanks for remembering and reminding us about this truly unforgotten Hero. We can’t forget the contribution this leader had in the movement to free India from British Raj. He is still remembered by his slogan “Mujhe khoon do, main tumhe azaadi doonga” (Give me blood and I will give you freedom)
On 6 July 1944, in a speech broadcast by the Azad Hind Radio from Singapore, Bose addressed Mahatma Gandhi as the “Father of the Nation” and asked for his blessings and good wishes for the war he was fighting. This was the first time that Gandhi was referred to by this appellation. (wiki info)

Thanks Atul ji, Prakash ji, Khyati ji !!!
Nation can never and shall never forget Shri.Subhash Bose ! he is the unforgateble hero ! on the same day i watch some scenes of this film on a news channel wherein Sachin Khedekar as Subhash Babu speaks about the mystery of his death.. (i had seen this film missing the first part on TV about 4 years back and do not get to watch it at a stretch). Really it is very unfortunate on our part that we fail to bring out the truth about this mystery. But still we need to understand the patriotic spirit that lead Subhash Babu to fight the battle against the Britishers, and that understanding will surely keep motivating the coming generations forever …
