Today (26 january 2013) is the 64th republic day of India. On this occasion, here is a song from “Raajhath” (1956). This song salutes the unknown soldiers who are anonymous to most of us but who through their vigil and sacrifice ensure the safety and integrity of the nation.
This song is sung by Manna Dey and chorus. Shailendra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

Lovely song. I had gone to pick my brother up from the airport this morning. The deshbhakti songs were playing there. It felt great. 🙂

One correction to lyrics.
The line
“ab to tera dhool bhi sona”
should read
“ab to tera dhool bichhonaa”
