Libaas (1988) the last film by Gulzar with Pancham as its music director didn’t get an official release. The film was shown at some international film festivals, but neither came into the theatres nor was it released on video or DVD. And that is rather a pity! Thus we are tricked out of our last treat of family drama by Gulzar. Well one can’t say family drama as we use it for Hindi cinema; it is more about an extra-marital affair.
The film had Nasseruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi and Raj Babbar playing its main protagonists. Nasseruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi play a married couple working in a theatre company, where Shah is the leader and director of the plays and his wife play the main female leads in the dramas. He is so engrossed in his work, that romance slowly fades from their relationship. She finds it in his friend played by Raj Babbar, who comes on a visit from abroad. How Gulzar leads the film forward from this crux would have been interesting to see. Maybe, we are lucky someday and the film might get a release all the same.

Hope my memory servs me right,
This song was picturised at night time, while Shabana,Naseeruddin Shah, Raj Babbar sitting on chairs in the lawns of a small garden. Any one who had seen this movie, Please correct me ,If I am wrong in this regard.
