Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Mori atariya hai sooni Mohan nahin aaye

Posted on: September 6, 2013

“Pardesi” (1941) was a Ranjit Movietone production. It was directed by Chaturbhuj Doshi. The movie had Motilal, Khursheed, Snehaprabha Pradhan, Billimoria, Bhagwandas etc.

One song from this movie has been discussed in the past. Here is the second song from the movie.

This song is sung by Khursheed. D N madhok is the lyricist. Music is composed by Khemchand Prakash. Only the audio of this song is available butit is easy to guess that the song is picturised on Khursheed herself.

I haerd this song for the first time only just now and I loved this song from the very first “hear”. What a delightful song to listen to.

I am not fully satisfied with the lyrics that I have noted down. I request our readers with keener ears to point our the errors/ corrections in the lyrics.

Atulji,
The missing word sounds like baadal, not sure if the beginning is ghar mein.
