“Parda” was a K pictures production movie. It was directed by K Sooma. The movie had Rehana, Chand, Amar, Kusum Thakur, Ansari etc in it.

Three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fourth song from the movie. The song is sung by Rajkumari. Swami RamanandTanvir Naqvi is the lyricist. Khayyam (then known as Sharmaji) is the music director. He in fact made his debut as a music director in HIndi movies with this movie.

The lady lip sync this song on screen could be Rehana, but I am not sure. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify her.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

Song-Ae dil tere ghamon ka main kis’se kahoon fasaana(Parda)(1949) Singer-Rajkumari, Lyrics-Tanvir Naqvi, MD-Khayyam

Lyrics(Provided by Nitin Shah)

ae ae ae
ae ae ae
dil tere ghamon ka
main kahoon kis’se fasaana
ae ae ae ae ae
dil tere ghamon ka
main kahoon kis’se fasaana
bedard ye duniya hai to
zaalim hai zamaana
haaye ae ae
bedard ye duniya hai to
zaalim hai zamaana
aa aa
ae ae ae ae ae
dil tere ghamon ka
main kahoon ka kis’se fasaana
do din bhi mere pyaar ki
basti na bas saki
na jaane mere pyaar ko
kis ki nazar lagi
dil ki tamaam hasraten
dil hi mein reh gayin
ye kaisi aag meri
mohabbat ko le gayi
puraana hua thhaa kabhi
ulfat ka taraana
purana hua thhaa kabhi
ulfat ka takraana aa aa
ae ae ae dil tere ghamon ka
main kahoon kis’se fasaana
kyunn hichkiyaan lete hain
mere haal pe
ye chaand sitaare
kyun bheege meri hansti hui
aankhon ke kinaare
kyun pyaar ?? jaata hai
bann bann ke sharaare
shaayad gaye toot sabhi
ulfat ke sahaare
ro ro ke main kaatoongi
jawaani ka zamaana
ro ro ke main kaatoongi
jawaani ka zamaana
ae ae ae ae ae ae
dil tere ghamon ka
main kahoon kis’se fasaana
ae ae ae

Atul ji,

According to an interview given by Khayyam to Abhijit Desai and published in his book,”The story behind the Cinema story”, the first film of Khayyam as Sharmaji-Vermaji was HEER RANJHA-1948 and as only Sharmaji,”BEEVEE” was the first film, though Parda was released first in 1949 itself and Beevee was released in 1950.

Atul-ji, It is Rehana indeed. I had seen this movie but I do not remember any thing about it, except that it was a Muslim social film
