Hullo to all in Atuldom.

So we have now reached 11200 songs on the blog. I remember there were various things happening, same time last year. We were on our road to 10000. We were having a series running which was introducing each and every contributor of the blog. The most silent character in our Atuldom (as far as sending contributions to the blog in the form of posts or write-ups) has reached 900. Wow!

Now last year around this time I was in a happy-sad frame of mind. My mom was unwell (to make me sad) and my daughter had got admission to a course of her choice (she was happy and so was I). And on 22nd June I sent a message to my parents that I am eagerly waiting for 22nd June 2015 when they celebrate 50 years of togetherness, their wedding anniversary. I am sure they are celebrating it together wherever they are. And we kids (all of us 40+) and grandkids and sons-in-law and daughter-in-law are left thinking what all we had planned for this special day in our family. Each one of us is thinking that they might be eating their favourite Gujarati thaali for lunch and rounding off the day with his favourite pineapple ice cream. We have been missing them everyday and today has been a specially senti and mental day.

And I thought I should send a post to Atul with a song that expressed how I felt on this day. Hence I chose a song from Subash Ghai’s 1976 film “Kalicharan”. It is written by Inderjeet Singh Tulsi. Music directors are Kalyanji- Anandji. It is sung by Anuradha Paudwal and Kanchan.
