“Khaandaan”(1942) was directed by Shaukat Hussain Rizvi for Pancholi Pictures, Lahore. The movie had Noorjahaan, Ghulam Mohammad, Manorama, ajmal, Durga Mota, Baby Akhtar, Ibrahim, Nafees, Pran, Krishn, Chami, G N Butt etc in it.

Only the audio of this song is available. I have read it somewhere that this song is picturised on a young child. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Atulbhai,
While covering all the songs of Noorjehan, I had skipped this song as I could not convince myself that it was Noorjehan’s voice. I had mentioned it while posing other Noorjehan’s song. I agree with Sadanandbhai that the voice sounds like Shamshad. If it a version song, will some expert researcher throw some light?

Girdharilal Vishwakarma ji while uploading the mp3 clip of the song on Dr. Surjit Singh’s Website has credited this song to Shamshad Begum.

Yes, the voice does sound like Shamshad Begam. But I went with the name of Noorjahaan because that is what is mentioned in HFGK. So HFGK required correction in that case.

The voice appears to be that of Shamshad Begum. May be a version song.
