“Khilona”(1970) was directed by Chandar Vohra for Prasad Productions, Madras. the movie had Sanjeev Kumar,, Mumtaz, Jeetendra, Durga Khote, Bipin Gupta, Ramesh Deo, Chaand Usmaani, Shabnam, Malika, Jaishree, Shatrughan Singha, Jagdeep, Aruna Roy, Mridula, Jagnu Jain, Guddi, Master Satyajit etc in it.

The movie had six songs in it. Five of these songs have been covered in the past.

Here is the sixth and final song from “Khilona”(1970) to appear in the blog. This song is a Hinglish song which is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Kishore Kumar. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

The song is picturised as a “making someone jealous” genre of light hearted song. I have not seen the movie, so I can only guess what the picturisation is all about. it appears to me that Jagdeep wants to amke his wife (played by Malika) jealous and for that he plays the ruse of singing this romantic son with Rosie (played by Shabnam) in a part. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell me if my guess is correct.

With this song, “Khilona”(1970) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

Atul ji You are right about Mallika and Shabnam
Mallika hamesha kisi na kisi vrat ka naam leke apne pati Jagdeep ko paas aane se rokthi hai, issi liye Jagdeep ka ye jhootha love duet song hai Shabnam ke saath

Atul ji, Prakash ji,

Actually there is more to this deception. 🙂

The tale is quite complicated. Jagdeep is maternal uncle of Kishore (Ramesh Deo). Kishore manages the family business and Jagdeep also works in that office. There is an office assistant Rozie (Shabnam), and there is an affair developing between her and Kishore. So by this fake episode of getting involved with Rozie, Jagdeep is actually targeting to wean away Rozie from Kishore, so that Kishore’s family does not get destroyed.

The added bonus is that he is also able to make his own wife (Mallika), fall into his arms because of jealousy. 🙂
