Blog 10-Year Challenge (2012-2022) – Song No. 49
————————————————————————————–

Today’s song is from the movie ‘Ye Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai-1966’.

This movie is eligible for representation on the blog today as one of its’ songs was posted ten years back on 02.06.2012.

This day (2 June) that year (in 2012) saw as many as five posts on the blog as per details given below.

Song Movie title(Year) Remarks
Sur saritey kalyaanmayi Prabhu Ki Maaya(1955) 5 of 9 songs posted
Bahut aasaan hai chilman se lagkar muskuraana Rangeen Raatein(1956) All songs covered
Bahut purdard hai ye sunanewaalon Birha Ki Raat(1950) All songs covered
Khudaara yoon dil naa todo Ye Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai(1966) 4 of 7 songs posted
Ye pyaar thhaa ya kuchh aur thhaa Prem Rog(1982) 4 of 6 songs posted

Out of the five movies mentioned above all songs of two movies viz. ‘Rangeen Raatein-1956’ and ‘Birha Ki Raat-1950’ have been covered. That leaves with us three movies viz. ‘Prabhu Ki Maaya-1955’, ‘Ye Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai-1966’ and ‘Prem Rog-1982’ that still offers us songs that are yet to be covered.

I am presenting a song from the movie ‘Ye Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai-1966’. I had not watched this movie and I don’t remember whether I have listened to the songs of this movie except one song ‘nange baazu nangi raanen husn ka ye meyar nahin’, a song that I became aware of when it was posted on the blog.

When our dear Prakash ji sent the lyrics for the remaining songs of this movie I decided to take them, and also become aware about this movie and its songs.

‘Ye Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai-1966’ was directed by R.K. Nayyar for ‘R.K. Nayyar Films, Bombay’. It was a social movie.

This movie had Ashok Kumar, Joy Mukherjee, Sayra Bano, Motilal, Sayeeda Khan, Madan Kumar, Shyam Chatterjee, Mohsin Abdulla, Badri Prasad, Manmohan and others.

This movie had seven songs (including one multiple version song*) as detailed in HFGK Vol-IV (1961-1970).

Lyrics for all the songs of this movie are written by Rajinder Krishan and music is composed by Ravi.

The list of the songs of this movie is as given below.

SNo Song Title Singer/s Posted On
01 Pehle aankh ladaayiye Mohd Rafi 07.05.2012
02 Khudaara yoon dil naa todo Mohd Rafi 02.06.2012
03 Dekho ye deewaana, roz ek kahaani ek fasaana sunaana chaahta hai Asha Bhonsle
04 Nange baazu nangi raanen husn ka ye meyaar nahin Mohd Rafi 27.10.2021
05 Khudaara yoon dil naa todo Asha Bhonsle 02.06.2012
06 Jeene ka agar andaaz aaye to kitni haseen hai zindagi Asha Bhonsle 08.03.2012
07 Koyi aankh milaa ke dekhe, koyi pyaar jataa ke dekhe Asha Bhonsle Being discussed today

*After going through the above list we have something to correct on the statistics of the blog. We need to correct the total number of songs posted to five instead of four, as we have already covered the multiple version song ‘khudaara yoon dil naa todo’.
That gives us only two songs from this movie to be covered on the blog. (It took me sometime to clear this confusion as Prakash ji had sent lyrics for three songs to be covered.
However, the song ‘muhabbat rang laayegi haseena maan jaayegi’ has also been covered and it is the same song which starts with the lines – ‘pehle aankh ladaayiye, phir aage badhh jaayiye’ (Prakash ji – kindly note please)).

That brings us to today’s song which is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Sayeeda Khan is seen performing on this songs with many other female artists, including Saira Bano.

As mentioned above lyrics for today’s song are by Rajinder Krishan and music is composed by Ravi.

Let us enjoy today’s song now …

Song-Koi aankh milaa ke dekhe (Ye Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai)(1966) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Rajinder Krishan, MD-Ravi

Lyrics(Provided by Prakashchandra)

koyi aankh milaa ke dekhe
koyi pyaar jataa ke dekhe
dilwaalon leke aayi hoon main
ankhiyon ke baan
koyi hai jo aake rakh de
nishaane pe jaan
koyi hai jo aake rakh de
nishaane pe jaan

pyaar mein jeenewaale laakhon
marnewaala koyi naa
pyaar mein jeenewaale laakhon
marnewaala koyi naa
ishq di khaatir jaan ka saudaa
karnewaala koyi naa
dilwaale to ek adaa pe hote hain qurbaan
koyi hai jo aake rakh de
nishaane pe jaan
koyi hai jo aake rakh de
nishaane pe jaan

deewaana to pyaar karegaa
zulfon ki zanjeer se ae
deewaana to pyaar karegaa
zulfon ki zanjeer se
paa legaa wo manzil apni
ek nazar ke teer se
ishq mein jaan bachaanewaale
hote hain naadaan
koyi hai jo aake rakh de
nishaane pe jaan
koyi hai jo aake rakh de
nishaane pe jaan

jeenewaala kya jaane jo
marne mein aaraam hai ae
jeenewaala kya jaane jo
marne mein aaraam hai
dopahar ki garmi se to
achchhi thhandi shaam hai
ghaayal ho ja ho jaayegi
har mushqil aasaan
koyi hai jo aake rakh de
nishaane pe jaan
koyi hai jo aake rakh de
nishaane pe jaan
koyi aankh milaa ke dekhe
koyi pyaar jataa ke dekhe
dilwaalon leke aayi hoon main
ankhiyon ke baan
koyi hai jo aake rakh de
nishaane pe jaan
koyi hai jo aake rakh de
nishaane pe jaan
