Blog 10-Year Challenge (2013-2023) – Song No. 45

On this date ten years back viz on 14 March 2013, nine songs from eight different movies (plus one Non Film song) were covered in the blog. Here are the details:-

It can be seen that out of two movies (out of eight) whose songs were covered on this date ten years ago (on 14 March 21013) have since been YIPPEED. So technically six movies are eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today. But in reality, songs of some of the movies are unavailable.
Two unYIPPEED movies, whose songs are avaialble, have been taken up under the BTYC challenge earlier in the day. Here is the third unYIPPEED movie under this challenge.
This movie is “Bulandi”(1980).
“Bulandi”(1980) was produced by Mohan Rao and directed by Esmaayeel Shroff for Shree Kala arts. The movie had Raj Kumar, Danny Denzongpa(double role), Asha Parekh, Kim, Raj kiran, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Jeevan, Krishan Dhawan, Mushtaq Merchant, Rakesh Bedi, Helen, Kadar Khan, Sudhir, Bharat Kapoor, Nitin Sethi, C.S.Dubey, Johnny whisky, Bhagwan, Ramesh Tiwari, Pratima devi, Azaad, Madhu, Rajrani, Lalita Kumari Sinha, Kanchan Mattoo, Sujtaa, Dharmaveer, Sunder Taneja, Siddharth Kak etc in it.
“Bulandi”(1980) had six songs in it. One song has been covered so far.
Now after the passage of exactly ten year, here is the second song from the movie to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by R D Burman.
The song is picturised as a bar dance song on Helen. One can see Bhagwan, Raj Kiran,Mushtaq Merchant and Sudhir, among others in the picturisation.
