Blog 10-Year Challenge (2013-2023) – Song No.70

On this date ten years ago (10 April 2013), five songs from five different movies, plus two Non Film songs, were covered in the blog. Here are the details:-

We observe that four movies (out of five movies) whose songs were covered in the blog on this date ten years ago (viz on 10 April 2023) have since been YIPPEED in the blog. That leaves us with one unYIPPEED movie which is eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today (10 April 2023).
That movie is “Garib”(1942).
“Garib”(1942) was directed by Ramchandra Thakur for National Studios, Bombay. The movie had Surendra, Rose, Baby Meena, Veena Kumari, Sankata, N.A.Ansari, Agha, Pesi Patel etc in it.
“Garib”(1942) had 12 songs in it. Six songs have been covered in the blog in the past. Here is the seventh song from the movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Surendra. Dr Safdar aah Sitapuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Anil Biswas.
Only audio of the song is available. It is clear that the song was picturised on Surendra himself.
Lyrics of the song were sent to me by Prakashchandra. A portion of lyrics has some heavy duty urdu words that could not be correctly noted. I request our knowledgeable readers to help fill in those blanks in the lyrics.
