Alphabetical list of actresses who have lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice- Part VI
(Actresses whose name begin with the letter F)
In the first five episodes of the series, we listed actresses whose names begin with the first five letters of the alphabet and who had lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice in the blog. They we went on to cover a song that was lip synced by another acresses whose name began with the same letter and who had not lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice in the blog.
We managed to find “new” actresses (whose name begin with the first five letters of the alphabet) lip syncing in Asha Bhonsle’s voice for the first time in the blog. They were Anju Mahendru, Bhanupriya,Chandrakala,Divya Bharati and Ekta.
The next letter of the alphabet is F. If one thought that Letter E was challenging, then the letter F was arguably even more so.
There were only two actresses whose name began with E, who had sung songs in the voice of Asha Bhonsle. As far as the next letter F is concerned, there were just four actresses whose names began with F and who had lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice in the blog. Here are those four actresses:-

We observe that only four actresses whose names begin with F have lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice in the blog. In case of letter E, we had variety in the names of actresses like Erica, Edwina, Ekta, but here all names have “Far-” as the first three letters. My guess is that it is a name of Persian Arabic origin. No matter how hard I searched, I could not find any other name beginning with F. Searching for actresses with letter F in Wikipedia failed to give any results.
We in the blog have our own wikipedia super deluxe in the form of Prakashchandra. When everyone else gave up, Prakashchandra came up with an actress who fitted the bill. She is Farheen, another name that begins with “Far-“. She was the lead actress of “Jaan Tere Naam”(1992). The Asha Bhonsle song that Prakashchandra came up with must be the only Asha Bhonsle song picturised on Fardeen. And this song is quite a popular song of its time !
“Jaan Tere Naam”(1992) was produced by Jimmy Narula and directed by Deepak Balraj Vij. This movie had Ronit Roy and Farheen making their debuts in Hindi movies. The movie also had Vijay Arora, Sulabha Deshpande, Balbinder Dhami, Anju Mahendru, Navneet Nishan, Ali Asgar, Ajit Vachani, Ravi Vaswani, Shehnaz Kudia,Kedarnath Saigal etc in it.
“Jaan Tere Naam”(1992) had eight songs in it. There is only one song in Asha Bhonsle’s voice in the movie and that song happens to be lip synced by Farheen.
I had never heard about Farheen. Prakashchandra, in addition to this song gave additional information about Farheen. After being in the film industry for about two years, Farheen vanished from the scene. She met cricketer Manoj Prabhakar. After a few years of courtship, Manoj Prabhakar married Fardeen after divorcing his first wife.
So, what could have been a tough selection became a breeze thank to Prakashchandra.
So here is this song from “Jaan Tere Naam”(1992). It is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Kumar Shanu. Rani Malik is the lyricist. Music is composed by Nadeem Shwrawan.
The song is picturised on Farheen and Ronit Roy. Farheen is dressed like Madhuri Dixit and she is made to look like Madhuri Dixit in the picturisation.
With the letter F done and dusted, next song in the series will be on an actress whose name begins with G. This is another challenging letter of the alphabet. The blog only had four actresses whose names beging with G and who have lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice. But I am not stressed about this letter. Thanks to Prakashchandra, I already have a “new” actress who has lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice but who is not yet represented in the blog in that capacity.
So, here is this nice song from “Jaan Tere Naam”(1992). The movie makes its debut in the blog with this song.

I am very happy to see the F instalment of the Asha Bhosle. With Prakashchandra jee find actors and actresses name is a breeze. Where I need one hour to search something, he needs only a minute.
The song “ham laakh chhupaayen pyaar magar” is completely new to me and as you wrote Farheen’s make up as Madhuri Dixit is quite interesting.
