The movie “Private Secretary” (1962) is not one that is known to too many people. Prem Dhawan was the lyricist and this movie had someone called Dilip Dholakiya as the music director.

I found it interesting that the same Shankar Jaikishan, who were the regular music directors of Raj Kapoor were the regular music directors of Shammi Kapoor as well. But while SJ would use Mukesh ( and sometimes Manna Dey) for Raj Kapoor and create hit songs, they would create hit songs with Rafi for Shammi Kapoor.

“Sanjog” (1961) was one movie that had some very nice songs which are remembered to this day. And that comes as no surprise when one realises that the music director of this movie was Madan Mohan.
