They are mainly songs which are sung in clubs/ parties, and are often accompanied by dance, either by someone like Helen, or a party dance where several people are seen dancing “phoren” style.

“Chhote Nawab”(1963) was a movie that was Mehmood’s home production and he acted as the hero in this movie. The biggest contribution of Mehmood in this movie was introducing R D Burman as an independent music director.

In Bollywood masala songs, there is this typical situation where the hero must enter the high security den of the villain. The hero makes it to the den in disguise and the villains are unable to identify, despite his disguise often being nothing more than a thin moustache.
