Yesterday, just like that, I googled ‘nine thousand’. Did not expect to find anything really interesting and useful to write about. After all, it is just another number. But really, I was surprised. In Hindi movies, actors tend to get typedcast and it is difficult for them to change their image because the audience refuse to see them in roles different from their usual ones. Thus we have had cases where some actors played the same kinds of role once they got typedcast in that role. Strange are the ways of Almighty. He blesses a select few with natural in-born talents and competencies. Talents of the levels that can only be reached when the person is touched by Him. And then, with a display of a brightness that promises to outdo the sun, raising expectations of more wonders to come, He calls them back to Him, belying the expectations, and leaving behind the wonder of possibilities that could have been. The promise of the sun reduced to a shooting star that disappeared too soon. Ghulam Haider, a name one can associate to such possibilities.
