I am aware of a movie called “Dada” (1978). Later I found out that another movie of the same name was released in 1966 too. Both these movies incidentally had the same music director, viz Usha Khanna.
Now I find that there was another movie of the same name, which was released in 1949.

“Shamaa” (1946) is a movie about which very little information is available and digging up information about this movie is a time consuming process. And irritatingly, the little information that turns up is incorrect as well. So I decided to dig up my own comments from the two earlier songs of this movie that I had discussed in the past. From those comments, I see that this movie has Mehtab and Rehana in this movie.

Here is an absolute gem of a song that has been lying hidden all these decades.
This song is from “Nayi Kahaani” (1943). I am not only surprised that music lovers have forgotten this song, I am even more surprised at the fact that the print of this movie is still available and that too in a reasonably pristine condition, going by the print quality of this picturisation. So kudos to the people who have preserved the print of this movie in such a good condition.
