This is the last song of Doosri Sita (1974). Quite interesting to see that the film has basically only three songs. Since one of them has three versions, a person watching the film would have the effect of listening to five songs.

The failure of Doosri Sita(1974) at the box-office resulted in the disappearance of the good musical score of this film from the collective memory. My favourite from this film is this highly melancholic background song.

“Doosri Sita” got released in 1974 and sank without a trace, taking with it the musical score. Only in the course of R D Burman revival, did the songs resurface again. I remember listening to them on radio in the late 70s and early 80s on Vividh Bharati. The name Doosri Sita, though never really registered itself in my mind.

This is the song, where all the three comedians of the film are gathered together for a song. I think this is the only song in the Hindi film history where these three comedians par excellence have together in one song.
