This is one song that must be as rare a song as they come. Listen to this song and try to judge the people involved in the creation of the song. It is easy to notice that the song is picturised on Dhumal and Tuntun who emerge out of the church after getting married and then immediately burst into this comic song. The song is sung by Rafi and Geeta Dutt.

For many movie watchers, Meena Kumari and Raj Kumar epitomise tragedy roles. And if they are there together in a movie, then one may be justified in fearing the worst, viz ‘Kaajal” (1965). But fortunately, they did not start their careers with such roles, and they can be seen playing happier roles even together. “Ardhaangini” (1958) is one such movie where they were together playing happier roles.

“Aayi Milan Ki Bela” (1964) is a movie that to my mind was carried on the back of its lilting music. I do not think that people would have gone to watch this movie for Rajendra Kumar’s histrionics, if the movie did not have its awesome music.

In 1950s, we had this trend where movies with the prefix “Naya” added to old movie titles were used to create new movies. “Naya Andaaz”(1956) was one such movie. This movie had Johny Walker, Kishore Kumar and Kumkum in lead roles.

“Sazaa”(1951) has a few very nice songs that I was aware of and whicch I have already posted. I stumbled upon another song from this movie about which I was just not aware. The song as well as the picturisation just bowled me over as soon as I got an opportunity to watch this song.
