Like her, I too believe that this song has to be one of the most remarkable songs that Talat Mehmood has sung in his career. It is a twist of irony that a song as wonderful as this one should end up in obscurity whereas it deserves to be counted among the best known songs of Talat Mehmood.

Today (28th january) is the birth anniversary of Suman Kalyanpur. On this occasion, here is the title song of “Dil Ek Mandir” (1963). The song is a duet which is sung by Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur and it is picturised as the movie ending song as we see people mourning the death of Rajendra Kumar in the picturisation and the movie comes to an end. This song is the title song of the movie as well.
