This song from “Subhadra” (1946) is extremely rare. This song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Pt Indra is the lyricist and music is composed by Vasant Desai.

The song is picturised on Lata herself. Yes, “Subhadra” (1946) is one of the rare movies where Lata acted and sang for herself. We all would have dearly loved to watch a song picturised on Lata herself.

The song itself is wonderful to listen to. I have no idea why this song is this rare. This song should have been among the lst of most well known Lata songs.

While posting those songs, I had not realised that all these songs were sung by female singers. As many as four female singers had sung in these songs. The heroine Jayshee in fact has sung her own songs in this movie.
