Today’s song is from the film Chandan-1958. This film was more famous for the popular song “Bada hi C.I.D. hai ye neeli chhatriwala”, lip synced by Johnny Walker in the film, more than for anything else. Actually,almost all songs were good, I feel.

Today (18 february 2016) is the birth anniversary of Nimmi (DoB 18 february 1933). Sri Lanka Broadcasting Service honoured Nimmi by playing solo songs picturised on her in “Film sangeet” and duet songs picturised on her in the “Puraani Filmon Ke Geet” programme today.

I came to know just now that today (18 february 2016) is the birth anniversary of Nimmi (DoB 18 february 1933). I was not sure that I would be able to find a Nimmi song that was not yet posted. Prima facie, most Nimmi songs were composed by Naushad, Shankar Jaikishan, S D Burman, Ghulam Mohammad, Madan Mohan etc and most movies of these music directors are already YIPPEED in the blog.
