So this year 2023 has seen two centuries, both clocked in 28 days apiece. It is a vast improvement over the average days taken for the blog centuries of last few years. Today 24th February’2023 is the ninety-ninth birth anniversary of the legendary singer and actor Talat Mahmood.
He was born on 24th February’1924 and he passed away at the age of seventy-four on 9th May’1988.
As a tribute to him I am presenting a song from the 1956 movie ‘Sati Anusuyaa’.

This movie is new to me except for its song Hai ye duniya kaun si ae dil mujhe kyaa ho gayaa , a song that I have listened to innumerable times from my ‘cassette collection years’. This song must be a well-known song from this movie and this was also posted on the blog long back on 21.10.2009.
