Today 13th October’2024 is the 38th Remembrance Day of the legendary singer Kishore Kumar. He was born on 4th August’1929 and passed away at the age of fifty-eight only on 13th Octorber’1987. Today 13th October’2024 is Kishore Kumar’s 38th ‘Remembrance Day’. Thirty-seven years have passed since he left us.

Hullo Atuldom
In one of his posts, around 10 years or so ago, Atulji had written (I am not sure of the exact words he had used) that when he spoke about some of the actors of yesteryears, even Amitabh Bachchan, to his young daughter he had to give reference ‘Abhishek Bachchan’s father’.

“Apna Ghar Apni Kahaani”(1968) also titled “Pyaas”(1968) was produced by Rajnath Kochhar and directed by Phani Majumdar for Rachna Films, Bombay. The movie had Sudhir, Mumtaz, Madhumati, Shekher, Bina Rai, Bela Bose, Brahm Bhardwaj, David Abraham, Kesto Mukherjee, Keshav Rana, Baby Farida, Shivajibhai, Pradip Das Gupta, Anil etc in it.

main kehtaa duniyaa ko paagal’
The above are the lines by Kishore Kumar from a famous interview given to none other than Lata Mangeshkar (probably in the end seventies or early eighties). I also remember that these lines with a picture of Kishore Kumar were a part of cover photo of the film magazine ‘Madhuri’ or ‘Filmfare’ in those years. (I am forgetting the particular year).
