“Badaa Aadmi” (1961) is a by now forgotten movie. It was a B grade movie with lesser known actors like Sheikh Mukhtaar, Vijaya Chaudhary etc in it.

“Opera House” (1961) was a B grade movie starring Ajit, B Saroja Devi, K N Singh, Maruti, Niranjan Sharma,Baalam etc. Many of the so called B grade movies of those days are indistinguishable from A grade stuff, except for low budget. And as far as the music of these movies were concerned. The music was invariably A grade.

“Aas Ka Panchhi” (1961) is a movie starring Rajendra Kumar and Vyjyanti Mala. From music point of view, it had some superb songs in it that were sung by several singers ,well known ones as well as lesser known ones.

I regard Ravi as the creator of iconic songs. Whatever the occasion, one can have a few iconic songs from Ravi for the occasion. Ravi indeed has a few iconic Deewali songs under his belt, as can be expected.

I have mentioned it many a timers that the golden era of Hindi movie music had great music coming from everywhere. Not only well known movies with well known composers, even C grade movies with lesser known composers were creating great music those days. Many of these lesser known songs and movies have been forgotten with time. Looking for these forgotten song and listening to them (often for the first time) is a highly rewarding experience.
