Today’s song is from the film Firdaus-1953.

I have not seen this film and I do not know its story either. From what I read somewhere about this film, it seems to be a story of a newly married couple – Indra and Madhu, who get separated on their first night itself. The film has the background of India’s Partition.

Today’s song is from the ‘1956’ movie ‘Sailaab’.

This movie is new to me except for its song Hai ye duniya kaun si ae dil mujhe kyaa ho gayaa , a song that I have listened to innumerable times from my ‘cassette collection years’. This song must be a well-known song from this movie and this was also posted on the blog long back on 21.10.2009.

Today’s song is from a ‘1957’ movie namely ‘Janam Janam Ke Phere’.

I have mentioned it in my earlier articles that I had the good fortune of being able to watch many black and white movies in my childhood. Recalling those days is a source of great nostalgia for me. ‘Janam Janam Ke Phere’ is one of those black and white classics that I watched in one of the weekly screening of movies at our colony club where we resided.
