And indeed, I have thought so about this song for more than four decades. It indeed seems to fulfil all the ingredients that one had in a Shammi Kapoor movie.

Here is a Rafi-Shammi song from “Tumse Accha Kaun hai”. This song is a duet also containing the voice of Suman KalyanpurLata. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist whereas Shankar Jaikishan were the music directors of this movie.

I am often amazed at the high quality output of Rafi towards the 1950s and 1960s when he was at the peak of his career. The 1960s were especially remarkable. In this decade, he sang outstanding songs, not just for big stars, but also for lesser known actors.
