MOHABBAT KI JEET (1943) was produced under the banner of Girdhar Bahaar Productions and it was directed by Ramanlal Desai. The star cast included Nadia, Navinchandra, Leela Pawar, S Nazir, Shaqir, Agha, Munshi Kanzar, Vasantrao Pehlwan etc. From the star cast it can be safely assumed that the film belonged to the genre of stunt/action. I have no idea about the story of the film. But Nadia being the heroine in the film, one can expect that the story of the film would revolve around her role of striking out the forces of evil and restore goodness to the society. She would generally attain this by doing spectacular stunts and acrobatics which would please the front benchers in the theatres.

“Ghazab”(1951) was produced by Raja Fatehlal Shah and M Shakir Lucknowi and directed by A Karim for Chitraleela, Bombay. This stunt film had Bhagwan, baurao, Shanta Patel, Leela Gupte, Usha Shukla, Azeem Bhai, Sheikh, Ali, Maqbool, Jaani etc in it.

The pen that wrote the immensely soothing verses of “Haath Seene Pe Jo Rakh Do To Qaraar Aa Jaaye” (‘Mirza Sahibaan’, 1947), is the same pen that also produced such immensely fun and popular iconic number like “Laara Lappa Laara Lappa Laai Rakhdaa” (‘Ek Thi Ladki’, 1949) with music director Vinod, and such a comely and alluring blockbusters like “Huzoor e Waala, Jo Ho Ijaazat”(‘Ye Raat Phir Na Aayegi’, 1966), created with OP Nayyar.

CREDIBILITY is certainly a valuable virtue and a treasure to possess. Our parents enjoy a high credibility quotient with us. Anything told by them was accepted without a doubt or a question.(This is, of course, in olden days). We respect people with credibility. In the earlier days of this blog, I would just discuss songs that occurred to me. With time, when we had some critical mass of songs we began to think in terms of discussing all the songs figuring in movies.
