“Jhumroo”(1961) was a K S Production movie which was directed by Shankar Mukherji. I have found out that K S Stood for Kishore and Sharma, where Kishore meant Kishore Kumar and Sharma Meant Anoop Sharma, his secretary. Kishore Kumar had made Anoop Sharma as the producer of this movie instead of himself for tax purposes. He had done the same for his previous production, viz. “Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi”(1958) as well.

The movie had several family members of Kishore Kumar present in it, viz. Kishore Kumar, Madhubala, Anoop Kumar, Chanchal etc. In addition, the movie also had Lalita Pawar, Sajjan, K N Singh, Jayant, Kumar etc in it.

It should be an interesting exercise – to identify and list out all the sales pitch songs, and then check which actors have performed them on screen. My intuition is that the exercise will indicate that most sales pitch songs, sung by male voices, have been performed on screen by either Johnny Walker or Mehmood.
