Ten years back on this date viz on 2nd October 2012, nine songs from nine different movies were covered on the blog. Here are the details:-
As many as six movies (out of nine) whose songs were covered on this Date ten years ago (on 2 October 2012) have since been YIPPEED. That leaves us with three movies that are eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today (2 october 2022).
“Matlabi Duniya”(1961) is one such movie.
“Matlabi Duniya”(1961) was produced by Ramesh Gupta and directed by Radhakant and Mahendra Thakur for Chetna Productions, Bombay. The movie had Asha, Anant Kumar, Dhumal, Satish Vyas, Damuanna Malvankar etc. in it.
The movie had 12 songs in it that were composed by four music directors and sung by seven singers. All the songs were penned by Ramesh Gupta.
The song is sung by Geeta Dutt and chorus. Ramesh Gupta is the lyricist. Music is credited to Sushant Bannerjee and Jayanti Joshi.
Only audio of the song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song.

“Matlabi Duniya”(1961) must be one of the more obscure movies of all time. Little information is available about this movie. It was a Chetna Production movie. It was directed by Radhakant M Thakore and the movie had Damuanna, Anant Kumar, Asha, Satish Vyas, Dhumal. I am not aware who are Asha and Damunna in the cast. Read more on this topic…
