For instance, there were people who would have the record of watching every movie on the first day, first show, and there were some people who would boast of watching the same movie 100 times.

Many of R D Burman’s songs in 1970s were fast paced songs that were loud, party songs. But when the sitauation demanded, R D Burman could come up with soft, sensitive romantic songs too.

There are several songs that play at the very beginning of the movie as the credits begin rolling in on screen. I have not yet had a category for them, but I think I should call such songs as movie opening songs. They open the movie like how opening batsmen open an innings in a cricket match.

“Bahaaron ke sapne” (1967) was one of the first movies of Rajesh Khanna. In fact, it was the first Rajesh Khanna movie that tasted some box office success ( his earlier two movies “Aakhri Khat” and “Raaz” were damp squibs) and thus his career as an actor took off in Bollywood .
