I know of at least two movies called “Amaanat”. The earlier one was released in 1955 and it had Bharat Bhushan and Chand Usmani in lead roles. The later one was released sometime in 1970s and this movie had Manoj Kumar and Sadhana in lead roles.

“Boot Polish” (1953) was a movie based on the plights of orphan. Considering the subject, this movie was bound to have melodrama is it and that is why I am not sure that I would like to watch this movie.

I have posted all but one song from “Madhumati” (1958) so far. This movie is arguably one of the biggest musical blockbuster movies of all time in Hindi movie history. Here is the last song from this movie that was yet to be posted.

When it comes to songs of the golden era, I have certain observations. One of these observations is that every movie had several nice songs. Some of the songs went on to become popular but even those songs which failed to become popular are worth listening to. In many cases, they may even be as good as, if not better, than the more popular songs of that movie.
