It appears that Mohan Pictures, Bombay were on a spree to make movies begging with the word “Jaadui”. They had released three such movies in 1948 which went under titles like “Jaadui Shehnaai”, Jaadui Angoothhi”and “Jaadui Sindoor”. They were followed by “Jaadui Chitra” and “Jaadui Bansari”.

Today, 23rd January 2018 is the 121st Birth Anniversary of India’s best known revolutionary- Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. His life story and name is known to every Indian. It is not only very inspiring, but is very motivating as well. Unfortunately Netaji did not get the kind of help or support he needed and deserved for his Military action, from Indian politicians of his times. Netaji’s philosophy clashed with the Non-Violence policy espoused by Gandhi and his Congress Party. He pursued his dream single handedly. It is once in a Century that such a person is born. My respectful obeisance to Netaji.
On this occasion, here is a song describing his life which was nothing but a life of Balidaan or sacrifice.

The movie, based on a Bangla story by Shaktipada Rajguru, was made in Hindi as well as Bangla with the same actors. The movie had Uttam Kumar, Sharmila Tagore, Anil Chatterjee, Prema Narayan, Utpal Dutt, Abhi Bhattacharya, Manmohan, Asit Sen, Manik Dutt, Tarun Ghosh, Amol Sen, Subrotho Mahapatra, S N Bannerjee, Rajni Gupta, Probir Roy etc in it. I was vaguely aware that today (12 january 2018) was an anniversary of C Ramchandra. Subsequently, I came to know that it was no ordinary anniversary. It was the birth centenary of C Ramchandra (12 january 1918- 5 january 1982).
It goes without saying that C Ramchandra was one of the many pioneers of HFM who helped add considerably to the cause of HFM.
