This movie “Phaandebaaz” (1978) was rightly panned by the critics for being a hopeless movie, and so it proved. The movie failed at the box office and by now it is a forgotten movie.
Come to think of it, its songs were also of “chaalu” nature. Here is one such song from this movie. The lyrics are “dulhan khoobsurat hai sehre ki zaroorat hai”. This lighthearted tapori song was one that I did not like at that time, but when I compare this song with many popular songs of these days, this song sounds like a classic !
This song may not be a classic, but it is a fun song. And it is the lyrics by Anand Bakshi that makes this song a fun song.
So here is this song, which is sung by Kishore Kumar and picturised on a drunk Dharmendra in a party. Well ,that makes this song a drunkard song as well as a party song too.R D Burman composed the music.

all these days I was thinking music of this song is by LP! The orchestra and the tempo both resemble those of LP music compared to RDB music which stands out unique always!!

phandebaaz was not a flop movie. it was the 10th biggest hit of the year 1978.pl.check your facts before you make such sweeping statements!

Atul you are a magician…from one line in the middle of a song you have conjured up the entire thing! Now of course I remember the beginning.
You are right, trivial, silly songs of yesteryears seem classic now 🙂
