Main yahaan tu kahaan

It may be difficult to imagine today but actors like Ashok Kumar and Nirupa Roy used to act in lead roles five decades ago, before they began to play roles of parents. In fact, the two of them were paired opposite each other in lead roles in many movies of late 1950s.
“Bedard Zamaana Kyaa Jaane” (1959) is one such movie. This movie, to my mind is a musicla blockbuster. I have already discussed four songs from this movie, that are lovely to listen to. Here is another song from this movie.
This song is sung by Rafi and Lata and it is picturised on Ashok Kumar and Nirupa Roy. Bharat Vyas is the lyricist. Music is composed by Kalyanji. Yes, Kalyanji had composed the music of this song alone, before he teamed up with his younger brother Anandji in subsequent movies to form the legendary Kalyanji Anandji partnership of music directors.

What a wonderful song. Listening to it for the first time, but it sounds very familiar. Nice to see this pair nice and happy for a change :).
