Ye chaman hamaaraa apna hai

India is celebrating her independence day today. This independence is a result of great struggle and sacrifice, and it is upto the young generation to keep the national flag high and take the nation forward in its quest for progress.
Here is a patriotic song from “Ab Dilli Door Nahin” (1957) that exhorts kids to feel proud of their nation which belongs to them and who will have to shoulder the responsibility of the nation in future.
This lovely song is sung by Geeta Duu and Asha Bhonsle. Shailendra is the lyricist. Dattaram is the music director. In the picturisation, I can identify Sulochana Latkar singing this song to a few kids. I request knoledgeable readers to help identify other actors.

PS-The kids with Sulochana Latkar are Master Romi, Amjad Khan ( the same one who later played “Gabbar Singh” of Sholay) and baby Chand. One can also see Motilal in the picturisation. I thank Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh and PRakashchandra for these identifications.

Atulji,
I would like to add a few things.
This was a movie from Raj Kapoor and a low budget picture.
MD Dattaram (Wadkar) was the assistant of SJ.and this was his first independent venture.
Sulochana was a very popular actress from Marathi films.She played the main role in Vahinichya Bangadya,the hindi version of which is Bhabhi ki Chudiya.Meena Kumari remarked it difficult to imitate.
