Nahin tujhko khabar teri pehli nazar

“Hatimtai” (1956) , as the name suggests is a B grade Arabian nights tale movie that depicts the tale of Hatimtai who sets out to complete the tasks assigned to him before he can land the big prize.
Here is a quintessential Arabian nights kind of dance song from this movie. The song shows a few ladies singing and dancing. The song is sung by Shamshad Begam and chorus. Raja Mehdi Ali Khan is the lyricist and music is composed by S N Tripathi. The fact that a B grade movie like this , which ws made as far back as 1958 is in colour means that the movie and the song is just that much more fun to listen and watch.
Personally I am unable to recognise the actors who appear in the song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie as well as on the actors seen in this picturisation.

bulbul ki tarah dil chahke

tu jaaye jidhar main aaun udhar
aa dil se dil milaa le
aa dil se dil milaa le
nahin tujhko khabar

aaa aaa aaa aaa aaa aaa
zaalim tere ishq mein padke
zaalim tere ishq mein padke
seene mein tamanna dhadke
seene mein tamanna dhadke
o jaane jigar
manzoor nazar
tu aa
aa dil se dil milaa le
aa dil se dil milaa le
nahin tujhko khabar
teri pehli nazar
mere dil pe utar gayi haay
aa dil se dil milaa le

Thanks a lot for the invaluable information about this movie as well as about all the movies on this story.
Is the lyricist Chand Pandit same as Pt Indra Chandra, or are they two different lyricists ?
